    Planting

Community Work Day volunteers plant native species and beautify areas in Maui County.  We help eradicate noxious or invasive species.

Bad Plants

Be sure not to plant a noxious weed like Scotch Broom.  Here's the USDA list of noxious weeds for Hawai'i. Many plants sold in nurseries can be problems.  Formosa Koa, honeysuckle and others easily get out of control.  Here's a list of Hawaii's Most Invasive Plants.

Good Plants

Here are the good native plants that you should plant instead of imported plants that could become pests.

MISC (Maui Invasive Species Committee)

This ever-vigilant group of people works hard to stop and remove invasive species.
